Treatments

Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
Also known as VNUS Closure or ClosureFast, is a form of Endothermal Ablation and is recommended as the first line of treatment by The National Institute of Health and Care Excellence. It uses radiofrequency energy (like laser) and is performed under local anaesthetic in an outpatient setting, meaning you will return home that same day.
Ultrasound-Guided Foam Sclerotherapy (UGFS)
Similar to Clarivein or MOCA, and is recommended to treat more troublesome vein conditions. It uses a clever foam injection (called Fibrovein) and is performed under local anaesthetic in an outpatient setting, meaning you will return home that same day.
Microsclerotherapy
Is the most effective treatment for thread or spider veins. It is a straightforward, walk-in-walk-out procedure that normally takes only one hour, performed without anaesthetic and uses a special light and a very fine needle to inject the veins with a liquid that helps the body to absorb them naturally.
