Mark is a friendly local surgeon who specialises in ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy and endothermal ablation.

I have had the varicose veins that were present in my right leg treated by Mr Donald Adam at Premier Veins Solihull. Mr Adam is not the stereotypical dour Scot of legend but instead a relaxed fellow, humourous even I'd go so far as to say. And this manner does help quell one's anxieties I found, but only because he also exudes an air of knowing exactly what he's doing. During the operation itself - which you are awake for by the way - you get to observe that varicose veins treatment actually really is like child's play for him, and that the previous confidence he had inspired was not misplaced. As a bonus, he also gave me a useful tip at the post-op appointment regarding uphill running (for which there was no charge).
I have recently had Radiofrequency Ablation and Ultrasound Guided Foam Sclerotherapy performed by Mr Donald Adam. Everything was clearly explained from treatment to post op care. It was a swift, straightforward procedure. Mr Adam (and assistant Clive) were very professional and very friendly. This is my third procedure with Mr Adam and the results have been exceptional. Donald Adam did the procedure on my leg. He was professional, friendly and gentle throughout.
The actual procedure is a little uncomfortable - the worst part was the injection of the local anaesthetic. I am very squeamish but Donald chatted to me (and my husband who was sitting in the next room). I had the procedure done in early December 2025. I followed all the instructions for after care. You need to wear a support stocking afterwards, be mobile as much as possible but keep leg elevated when sitting.
If you have concerns about bruising or other issues you can message Donald and he always responded quickly.
This isn’t a short process and you need to commit to aftercare and stick with it.
It’s nearly three months now and my legs looks much better and more importantly I don’t have the pain anymore because the vein is gone!
